Registration/Admitting

The Registration or Admitting area is where the journey of your health information “officially” begins. The registration/admitting staff will:

• Obtain or verify your personal and financial information, including where you live and method of payment
• Forward any forms you will need to fill out, such as consent forms
• Provide you with a copy of the healthcare facility's notice of privacy practices explaining what will be done with your health information
• Generate a list of the valuables you have with you if you are admitted
